ISE Corporation Strengthens Leadership Team with Two New Appointments: Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Chief Engineer
SAN DIEGO, CA, May 1, 2009 — Due to the continued high growth experienced by ISE's hybrid drive systems into multiple markets, the company is enhancing its leadership team with two new key positions. Alex Bernasconi has joined ISE as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Dr. Fred Flett as Chief Engineer. "We have carefully selected proven performers with extensive experience," said Rick Sander, ISE President and CEO. "Alex and Dr. Flett each bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to ISE."
Mr. Bernasconi brings over 32 years of extensive cross-functional experience in the transportation industry. Since 1977, Mr. Bernasconi has held senior level positions in Sales, Engineering and Program Management. Prior to ISE, Mr. Bernasconi has served as Vice-President of Sales for Freightliner Trucks, division of Daimler AG, a leading producer of heavy/medium trucks. Previous to Freightliner, Mr. Bernasconi held a variety of positions at commercial trucks OEM, Kenworth Truck Company, division of PACCAR Inc. Mr. Bernasconi's assignments have included Sales Management, Product Development Manager, Government Sales & Program Manager, and Manager-Engineering Test & Evaluation. Mr. Bernasconi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle.Dr. Flett brings over 31 years of vast product development experience, coupled with significant expertise in Electric Vehicle/Hybrid Vehicle Powertrain components. Dr. Flett recently led the product and advanced technology developments for two generations of electric powertrains for Daimler and Ford Motor Company. In the scope of these developments, Dr. Flett diversified the electric drive technology into high power inverters, fuel cell generators, and off-road airport ground equipment vehicles. Dr. Flett has a depth of experience with a broad patent portfolio in power electronics, systems engineering and semiconductor technology.
